We run all levels of courses in the RYA Sail Cruising scheme (tidal) and National Powerboat Scheme, throughout the year.  Practical courses range from 2 -5 days for sailing and 1-2 days for powerboat training. Operating from Maryport on the Solway Firth (Cumbria) and Largs in the Firth of Clyde (South West Scotland).

Sailing course fees, per person, are:

1. 2 day practical (sail) - £120
2. 5 day practical (sail) - £325
3. 5 day practical with exam - £325 +exam fees+ 1 day boat hire

Our highly competitive fees are fully inclusive of: All RYA certification, food, waterproofs, bedding, fuel, marina fees and other costs often hidden in course fees.

Powerboat course fees, per person, are:

1. 1 day - £95
2. 2 days - £175

Theory and shorebased courses are run from West Cumbria.  Our intensive theory courses (from Day Skipper to Yachtmaster Ocean) are usually set over 3 alternate weekends, meaning you are finished within 1 month. Fees are a very competitive £140 pp including lunch and refreshments.

Other shorebased courses are:  Radio, First Aid, Sea Survival, Diesel Engine Maintenance.  Prices start from £45 pp.

Bespoke training packages for organisations that deliver the required MCA and/or RYA/DOT certifications, together with the experience that only offshore training can give.  Small or larger groups and a professional, cost-effective service.  Real-time exercises with local services such as the lifeboat crew can be arranged. 

We are committed to helping local people access vocational training and qualifications for a growing marine industry.  We are happy to discuss structured training programmes, over any period to accommodate individuals' needs and existing commitments.  We can build in work experience, appropriate RYA qualifications and personal development planning.  We work with partners from many fields, such as youth training organisations, further education and industry, to combine accreditations in many disciplines - educational, vocational and social.
