Ventures West is a small, friendly company that works with a large network of experienced professionals and partners, to help promote fun but safe use of the sea in the North West. 

1. We pride ourselves on our fleet of quality craft, selected for their all round performance and seaworthiness - and well earned reputations. All our boats exceed the rigorous safety standards of the Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA).
3. All skippers have to be MCA and RYA approved.  We make sure ours are also just as enthusiastic and committed to our principles as we are.  The company is run by it's three founders, all of whom are commercially endorsed by the MCA and/or RYA Yachtmaster Instructors.
5. Ventures West benefits from having its own training centre, Four Points West, which offers the full range of RYA accredited courses.  Using training as the bedrock for our other activities ensures a safe, rigorous and professional environment for all Ventures West experiences.

1. Our main base is Maryport, a charming harbour town on Cumbria's coast.  Maryport is just 45 mins from the M6 (J40) or Carlisle, or 20 mins from the Lake District.
3. We also operate training activities from Largs, in the Clyde.
